Summer dreams

This series portrays underpriviledged children, some physicaly challenged, mostly living in an urban environment who were able to have a fun, healthy and constructive summer attending summer camp because of the generosity of others. Over $1.3 million was raised in 2006, allowing 94 summer camp providers to buy violins, basketballs, science equipment, provide lunches, dinners and field trips to children who would never have been able to have their summer dreams fullfilled. The newspaper publishes these portraits with a list of what camps need to get donations. The Skillman Foundation matches up to $500,000.
