Changing times

After 45 years, St. James Catholic School closed its doors for good due to declining enrollment. The school had 43 students enrolled in its K-5 program. Some students celebrated as the clock ticked down to summer vacation, while others shed tears for the end of the era.

Karim’s journey

Karim Ahmad, of Lebanon, suffers from Olmsted’s syndrome: a rare incurable skin disease. Liz Zagar, of Laketon Township, learned of Karim through an internet blog. She raised money to bring him to the U.S. for medical treatment. Karim didn’t find a cure in America, he found something more powerful — love.
