Russ Attwater, 72, lived with heart problems for four years after his first bypass operation. Although there was a high chance he wouldn’t survive another procedure, he decided to undergo a second open heart surgery. His wife, Karen, 62, took charge of his care, ensuring Russ was ready for surgery.
